Our short-date clearance range helps reduce waste and gives customers the chance to grab discounted sweets, snacks and treats with clear, honest date information before ordering.
What does Best Before mean?
A Best Before date is about product quality. After this date, the item may still be safe to eat, but the flavour, texture, colour or freshness may not be quite the same.
What does Use By mean?
A Use By date is about food safety. We do not knowingly sell products after their Use By date.
Why are items reduced?
Products are reduced when their Best Before date is approaching, when they are short-dated, or when they are Past Best Before but still suitable for clearance sale.

Can I return a short-date item because of the date?
If the item was clearly labelled as short-date or Past Best Before before purchase, it is sold as a reduced clearance item. If something is damaged, incorrect, or not as described, please contact us.
Will the date show before checkout?
Yes. Where a product is tracked by our BBE system, we aim to show short-date notices on the product page, basket and checkout.
